Challenge

Transport and logistics are key enabling sectors for the success of all SGDs which rely on the movement of people and goods. The poor state and accessibility of infrastructure, the growing polluting congestion, and complex regulatory frameworks hinder the transport and logistics sectors in Africa. In Rwanda, these challenges are even more relevant with its landlocked, hilly topography and growing population. Here, our partner Endeva will unleash the power of business as a problem-solving tool.

Approach

ii2030 facilitates the smart, effective and efficient use of technology to achieve the SDGs through a system change approach. It is an initiative process bringing together a group of key players to co-create solutions. To address smart transport and logistic in Rwanda, ii2030 follows four phases:

  1. Inception: analysing the system and prototyping a solution;
  2. Consultation: understanding the system and its critical levers;
  3. Cocreation: cocreating a solution;
  4. Implementation: concrete actions on the ground.

Goal

ii2030 is Endeva’s proven approach to facilitate systems change for a more inclusive and future fit society by 2030. The aim of ii2030 is to cocreate systemic solutions that enable Rwanda to achieve the SDGs more effectively and efficiently with smart transport and logistic technology. We support Endeva’s system thinking process to solve problems better and at scale, increasing the impact of technology. The collaborative approach creates relevant partnerships and strengthens local ecosystems.
